CHRISTMAS at Mole Creek is a festive celebration that raises money for the community.
Both young and old, tourists and locals, come together for a fun-filled evening where they can enjoy dinner, dancing and an auction of fine local products.
"We always have a good time and a laugh,'' organising committee member Michelle Batteley said.
It is held at the Mole Creek Hotel, which is renowned for its fantastic fare and there will be several delicious options available on the evening.
"There is something to interest everyone, from the traditional Christmas meal to the chicken schnitzel made from scratch,'' Mrs Batteley said.
Dancing is a huge part of the evening with a jukebox so you can play all the party tunes.
"People just love to choose their favourite music and get up for a groove and last year there was a long line,'' Mrs Batteley said.
Also popular is the auction, which features a range of donated locally made products.
"Last year was absolutely hilarious with a local person who made a plate of cream puffs that sold for in excess of $60,'' Mrs Batteley said.
"Her cooking is to die for and I think they were actually devoured at the table on the night.''
Other items donated are hampers from Wychwood Gardens and Nursery and leatherwood honey from Stevens Honey.
The money raised is used to maintain community facilities.
"This year we are raising funds to upgrade our pool and we always use some to maintain the garden beds in the area to keep it all pretty,'' Mrs Batteley said.
